Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handcrafted Japanese cutlery.
Are these knives authentic and made in Japan?
Yes, every knife in our collection is hand-forged by master blacksmiths in renowned Japanese regions such as Seki, Sakai, and Echizen using traditional techniques.
How should I maintain and sharpen my Japanese knife?
We recommend hand-washing and drying immediately to prevent rust. For sharpening, always use a whetstone rather than a honing steel to preserve the delicate, high-performance edge.
Do you offer international shipping?
We ship worldwide. Standard international shipping typically takes 7-14 business days, and all orders are packed in specialized protective cases to ensure safe arrival.
What is your return policy for culinary tools?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused knives in their original packaging. Due to hygiene standards, we cannot accept returns on knives that have been used for food preparation.
What is the difference between Stainless and Carbon steel?
Stainless steel is rust-resistant and easier to maintain, while Carbon steel (like Blue or White paper steel) offers superior edge retention but requires careful drying to prevent oxidation.
Do the knives come with a warranty?
Yes, all our knives include a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover damage from improper use, such as chipping caused by cutting through bone or frozen foods.
